Theodora Tsikrika
I am computer scientist specialised in Information Retrieval.
My research interests are directed towards investigating the combination of statistical, search interaction, and semantic evidence for modelling, analysing and evaluating (multimedia) search processes with the ultimate goal to improve their effectiveness and gain insights into user searching behaviour.
Employment
2013 - : Post-doctoral researcher; member of the "Information Systems and Interaction Design" group at the Royal School of Library and Information Science, Copenhagen, Denmark. Projects: PROMISE.
2011 - 2012: Post-doctoral researcher; member of the MedGIFT group at the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (HES-SO). Projects: PROMISE and the CHORUS+.
2007 - 2010: Post-doctoral researcher; member of the Interactive Information Access theme at CWI, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Projects: VITALAS (Video & image Indexing and Retrieval in the Large Scale).
Prior to that, I was a member of the Information Retrieval group at the Dept. of Computer Science at Queen Mary, University of London where I got my PhD under the supervision of Prof. Mounia Lalmas.
