Theodora Tsikrika
I am a member of the MedGIFT group at the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (HES-SO) working as a researcher in the PROMISE and the CHORUS+ FP7 projects.
From 2007-2010, I was a member of the Interactive Information Access theme at CWI in Amsterdam working as a researcher in the VITALAS (Video & image Indexing and Retrieval in the Large Scale) European project. Prior to that, I was a member of the Information Retrieval group at the Dept. of Computer Science at Queen Mary, University of London where I got my PhD under the supervision of Prof. Mounia Lalmas.
My research interests are in the area of Information Retrieval: information retrieval modelling, combination of evidence for (multimedia) information retrieval, concept-based multimedia annotation and retrieval, evaluation of (multimedia) information retrieval, Web information retrieval applications, structured document retrieval, and mining and analysis of search interactions logs.
